At TruePlan, we’re all about making it easier for teams to plan their headcount growth. Today, we’re excited to introduce Headcount Targets, new functionality that lets you set hiring goals for your company, organizations, departments, and sub-departments.
Achieving company-wide alignment is not easy so we’ve made it easy to capture those hiring goals across your company. You have the flexibility to plan on a quarterly or annual basis; whichever works best for you and your team.
Setting Up Your Hiring Goals
Similar to other functionality we have that lets your planning process be more flexible, you’ll find this new setting under Settings → Workflow. If you scroll to the bottom, you’ll see a section for Headcount Targets.
Cycles are similar in concept to your existing planning cycles. You can set up a cycle with a name and plan on an annual or quarterly basis. You can always stop a cycle and start a new one if you refresh your plan in the middle of the year.
Visibility Across the Company
As your teams are requesting, approving, or just reviewing their existing headcount, they will be able to see their progress towards the hiring goals that you have set for them. Goals can be set up for any or all teams within your company.
In the next couple of weeks, we’ll be introducing a way for you to see the history of all of your planning cycles. This will help you get a sense for what you set out to do in a previous planning process and what you’ve set out to do currently.
